Hi
Everyone I am so glade I found this site. I came across a Spider that was in need of some help and had good old AAA tow it home. The 1st interesting this is the pink shows a 78 but car shows on Vin plate that it 1/75. The guy I got from said he never got it registered but prior owner said there was a mistake weird huh, I was given a bill of sale as a 75' and called AAA and was told nothing in system on Vin and just bring the bill of sale and should be ok hope so-- 75' no smog!!!. Ever hear of something like that.
It seams that most of the body work has been done but car has been sitting for about 5 years and does have some surface rust. The interior looks like it was in semi good shape but from sitting for so long rats at one time had made it home and done a little damage. Doesn't seem to be much rust but I am new to this. I hope I didn't make a mistake!!! Everyone seems so nice here I look forward to asking many things so please be patient If there is anyone that lives in or near Huntington Beach that would come take a look to tell me what I got that would be Fantastic!!! I have beer!
Thanks for any help
Justin

Hi Justin, Welcome to the forum. I don't know anyone that lives in Huntington Beach, but the So Cal FLU (http://www.flu.org/) people are all around you. We get together pretty frequently for drives and socializing, and have an all around good time.
Watch the Events section for these get togethers.
BTW, I bought my car from a lady in Huntington Beach coming up on two years ago.
As far as wondering if you made a mistake, not to worry, you'll get plenty of help here should the need arise. Whatever problem comes up, someone on the forum will pitch in with advice.

Hello Justin,
I am also in OC, Lake Forest. I don't have my Spider yet - it is still being sorted out by Mark, but I should have it soon, it is a 1980. I'm also new to spiders, though I did have a 78 Fiat 128 3p back in the day.
