Anyway, . . . Pumpkintown. I was just over near there last week, and spent several days in Pickens County. And managed to get a speeding ticket in Liberty, not far from you. The highway patrol is clever with their speed traps there. We were just cruising around for a Sunday drive in the back country at a pleasant 55 mph, and didn't notice that we stumbled into a 45mph zone. Any ideas for how to dismiss the ticket??

Have fun with your new toy!

I think that is the car from an Atl. FLU member.Isnt that the one that he posted with the blonde model next to the car. I forget his name ,but I met him and the car 2 years ago at Atl's Italian Car Day. Goes by PDM Racing? If so ,it is a very nice car,and well bought. He has a ton of work in that car. You can attend Dixie Fiatfest w/o being a FLU member, although it is a great group and well worth being a member.

Craig, we were there the following weekend (15th - 20th), not Mother's Day weekend. I had in mind to get hold of you, but we really didn't have a spare moment. Next time.

BTW, on Mother's day we were in Belgium, having destroyed Tappy's car the previous day. :D And on May 2, we were up in Elkin, NC helping Denise break in her new X1-9. I will start another thread to talk about our visit with Tappy (Philip) and his wife Desiree -- it was a really nice time. Same comment for visit with Denise and the Moonshine Rally!

I'm pleased to see you still have the Bugeye listed in your stable. I too have a lively little Sprite that shares garage space with SPYDUH, they are both great fun, but I must agree that the Bug is a bit short on creature comforts and torque  .

Talking about long odds. Two weeks ago we gave my Mom who is 87 an early Birthday gift.
Yep..you guessed it...a family reunion, for her side of the family, here at our place in Pumpkintown.
About 45 people showed from all over the country.
I'll be driving Highway #11 to pick up the car at the Ga. border today.

That's the one! Glad to hear it passed the eye test of a club member. Seller seems like a nice guy who knew his stuff
about cars. Big selling point for me.

I am not a big fan of most Brit cars but I love the Bugeyes ,and that one is truly a beaut! You an I are about the same distance from Clayton,Ga.Once you get the car ,lets meet up for a drive. There are some great roads over to Highland and Franklin,N.C. The car you now own is a very nice, sorted out example of a Spider.I doubt that much work will be required at all.Let me know re. a cruise! :D

The search continues

Just got back from Atlanta. Sadly, with no Spyder. Beautiful car but for some reason
it didn't pass the wife's muster and since it's to be HER car...well.
Pete, the seller, is a great guy and I feel bad it didn't work out for us.
I made sure he could recoup his e-bay fees since it was not his fault.
The search continues. I can be a bird dog when I'm on the scent so I'm not discouraged.
The right Spyder for the wife will be found soon.
You guys will be the first to know.
I'll pop in here in the meantime to rub elbows and learn.
Thanks to all.
