Worst States for Traffic Tickets
Re: Worst States for Traffic Tickets
OHIO's placement does not surprise me.. Great state to be from.
Re: Worst States for Traffic Tickets
Regardless of their ranking, I got pulled over in Oklahoma (78 mph, speed limit was 70) and South Carolina (54 mph, speed limit was 45) in the last couple of weeks. Both with radar. The first was on the freeway, I-40. The second was a speed trap on a back country road. I also watched the car in front of me get pulled over in North Carolina by an unmarked Dodge Charger. The car had just passed me, creeping by, and we were doing about 58 in a 55 zone on I-40 through the mountains near Ashville. These guys are ruthless!
I find California to be much more lenient to allow the traffic to flow faster than the posted speed limit, as long as one is not weaving in and out of lanes or being a menace riding on somebody's rear bumper.

Where's Washington DC on this list? I think they unintentionally missed #1 ...
