Hi everyone,
haven't been on here since the site was changed, so a re-introduction is in order.
I live just outside London (kingston upon Thames for those that have been there), was born in 1969.
My introduction to spiders came in 1984 when my dad restored his first one in his Fiat specialist workshop. In total I think he restored about 10 of them to a high standard. He became a specialist in all Fiat twin cams but mainly 124 spiders. I worked with him in my first year out of school and helped out now and then after that. Sadly he passed away last year, taking with him all his knowledge on the spiders.
I've had my 1973 European CS since 1999 and have covered around 45,000 miles in that time. The 1600 engine has long gone and it now has the european 1800. This has had a lightened balanced flywheel, a flowed big valve head, high compression pistons and topped with a 34/34 ADF carb (best for power while still giving good economy). Suspension has stiffer springs that are slightly lower than stock euro springs and Gas Koni's on a medium to firm setting. The interior is black leather with a Burl Walnut Dash.
Well that's me (Jason) and my car (Kylie).
As someone on here once said "Life is Good"
Trouble is, it just aint long enough, so make sure you enjoy everyday of it !!!
It's been a while
