Voltage Regulator

Can someone tell me where the voltage regulator is on my 77 spider?

I'm trouble shooting some electrical issues and it appears that the previous owner has rewired quite a bit. The alternator that is on the care now has it's own voltage regulator and I would like to see exaclty what he did to bypass the one on the car.

77 should have originally had the vr built into the alternator. On cars with external vr's, the units were on the left fender well

When you say left fender well do you mean drivers side?
And when you say on the fender well do you mean under the hood?

It does have the voltage regulator on the drivers side fender. It was bypassed by the previous owner however. The alternators that you get from the parts houses have built in voltage regulators, therefore he straight wired from the alternator to fuse "L".
