Funny(but interesting)

Post by rlux4 »

I had a small job to do yesterday, so I drove the Spider instead of my truck. I wore my "Fiat" hat:

There was a small party going on at the house I was at and one of the guys says to me: "I see you're wearing your Chrysler hat"

Same thing was said to me several times yesterday by different people during the Moonshine Rally. In fact, a "Chrysler" came in 1st (not mine).
Another thing I noticed was while driving down the interstate toward the rally site, 5 or 6 Chrysler products passed and every one of the occupants slowed down to check out our Fiats.

my non-Fiat customers usually ask if Fiat is still in business. Luckily, I don't have many Chrys customers

It's always fun to inform the Chrysler faithful that our spiders actually sport Hemi's under the hood, only ours have an overhead cam valvetrain.

As the Membership Director of FLU, i received an email from an Auburn Hills Chryser employee inquiring if, as new Fiat employees, they'd be accepted to our Fiat Lancia Unlimited club.

To which i replied... ABSODARNLUTELY. We are a Fiat/Lancia enthusiast club, not an antique car club. New Fiat owners will be welcomed as are every other Fiat and Lancia owners. All he and his coworkers need to do is buy a Fiat..

With all the attention our club has been getting, I believe we'll get quite a few new Fiat owners. All I have to say is WELCOME!

Public awareness seems to be increasing. I've gotten a lot more "Hey, nice Fiat" and a lot fewer " Hey, what kind of car is that?"

I heard countless''Nice Chrysler'' comments this weekend at the Mitty,to the point it was getting a lttle stale. What do you think Fiat's presence in our market will do to the value of our cars?

I honestly can't see how it can hurt. I think our cars are still undervalued.

I received a "Hey is that the new GM model?" comment today. Latest news is that Fiat is trying to obtain GM. Their goal is to be #2 in the US second to Toyota.
