Hello from Sapulpa OK

Post by SapulpaSpider »

Hi,
I have been gleaning hints from various web sites for a year. I have chosen you as the group that I call my group. I have a 1981 Spider 5-speed, with 63K original miles. It is mostly original but the previous owner installed a new top, exhaust system, and cool wheels and tires. I have reworked the brakes and bypassed the heater (I will get that new valve installed when I work on the console). It also has a hard top and air conditioner (which doesn't work). Who uses heat or A/C with the top down. There aren't many Fiats in Oklahoma, so I get a lot of looks and compliments. I also have the "FIAT" vanity plate for Oklahoma. I don't know how to insert pictures yet, so my thumbnail is all for now.

Hello, and welcome to the site. There are a few of you out there in Oklahoma, Clark (TulsaSpider) will probably be here shortly to welcome you, and I believe Ron Conlon form Mirafiori.com is in your beautiful state also. Although, he may be in Texas, but what's the difference?
A good tutorial for posting pictures can be found here:

Looking forward to seeing more of your car.
Ron

Welcome to the group! Ron Conlon is an ex-pat Canadian and definitely lives in OK. He and several others are very active down there in organizing various Fiat events - you should find lots of friendly faces very soon. Have you considered joining FLU to get better connected? Have fun. :)

Well hello there Sapulpa! Welcome! Finally another Spider in my area! Wohoo! **does the Snoopy dance!** I have a 78 and a 79 parts car I just bought. They are both carb'd. I'd love to meet up sometime and compare notes! Ron is in Norman at OU. We had a meet in the fall in Talequah and had a great run, there's a great guy in Wichita too. We tried to get together that day it snowed a foot, I am sure we'll get together soon.
Drop me a line!
