Just got a new light that goes under the radio. Haven't had one in over 20 years. Here is my ingnorance. I thought you could just hook up to a hot and ground and flick......it would work. Doesn't work in any way shape or form. The old original wires are long gone. But i do have a hot and a ground. Help! What goes where.....
in the dark........
Courtesy Light
Re: Courtesy Light
Hey Keith,
The courtesy light has three prongs for wires. One is a hot lead, one is normal ground and one is a ground from the door switches. Assuming that your hot is hot and your ground is good, and the bulb is not blown, you should be able to get it to switch on if you hook it up correctly only using the hot and ground. Of course it will not go on when the doors open unless you hook up the third wire.
