Hello, two weeks ago i bought a 1979 CS0 2000 f.i. US.
This car was reimportet in 1996/97 to Europe. I'am the 4. Owner in Germany...
Milage ist 97000km (?).
Very interesting forum here...
I think a need a lot of help with this old car... in this moment it isn't starting in the right way...

Welcome to the forum Snoopy. Your car must have been modified to have the FI system on a 1979. The 1980s imported into California were the first to have it. Of course, it could have been built in 1979 as a 1980 model and at some point had the registration changed to 1979. Interesting. What are the symptoms you're having on start up? I'm sure we can help you get it humming.

You are right: Its build end 1979 (i asked at Fiat) and so model is 1980...Its an early CS0 f.i. (with low VIN)
First registration "known" is 1983 (probably california) . I see at many parts from 1979 an so i asked Fiat. I dont know a lot of the live of the car:
First its brown with tan inside, then red with tan inside, then red with black inside. May be long time ago there where an A/C in the car...

Welcome to the forum and congrats on fixing the issue.Arent there a couple of fairly famous automobile manufacturers in the Stuttgart area (maybe one known for their rear engined cars)?
