I have enjoyed reading the posts on this forum, but I have enjoyed the pictures of your cars even more. In October, my brother bought a blue ’78 Spider and I got jealous. So I kept my eyes open and found a beautiful racing green ’75 Spider that is in mint condition. I ended up paying a lot less than my brother. The engine needs a bit of work and I think I might have a few electrical bugs here and there. It’s a strong car and a good distraction to work on that will keep me out of trouble. I'll post some pics as soon as the weather improves here in Vancouver. By the way, can anyone recommend a product to clean the plastice back window? The back window is really really foggy!

Welcome to the site and congratulations on your find! I found a thread under Cosmetics where Meguiar's PLASTX was highly recommended for cleaning anything made of clear plastic. I haven't tried it myself, but I intend to!

Hello, and welcome to the forum. Your brother is a good influence on you. You're going to enjoy car, and it's a blast to get together with others on drives. Companies that install tops usually can sew in a replacement window for you pretty reasonably if you can't clear up your present one. It would work until you're ready to get a new top.

that back window is the problem we all share. learning how to protect it when new is a secret well worth learning...

and electrical issues are always prevelent when one first acquires his first Spider. we can help, just let us know how.

Welcome to the site. Great to see a few more spiders in the area. Yeup, electrical issues are always around but seems most are attributed to the grounds. If you have questions, there is a wealth of very informed owners here who have had and remedy'd just about every problem that a fiat can offer. Closer to home though try CEM auto now on Kingsway, Geo has helped me with mine.
Good luck and have fun

Ok, I love my Spider. I have finally finished most of the work on my baby. It's taken me longer than I expected (there were unforseen issues) and there are still a few things to do but finally I can drive the car. The only problem is that I can't stop smiling. I hope this works... a few pics can be found here: http://www.sportspider124.blogspot.com

That's a very clean looking car, and it has the brown interior (from what I can tell from the photos) that I prefer to my cream interior.

Didn't know you could get a big smile stuck on your face for so long, did you? Bet your face hurt!
