how about some fiatspider.com decals?

Post by htchevyii »

Anybody else out there who wouldn't mind having a FiatSpider.com decal on their car? I'd even pay money and maybe it would be good publicity for the site.

That would be cool. What would even be cooler is if it were a magnet. Not to large of course.

I'd be interested in either a decal or window static.

Do I hear interest in a design contest? If not, I'll just toy with some ideas myself and post them later today.

this has been kicked around for several years, as a fundraiser in lieu of diminishing donations to pay the sites' expenses. The two stumbling blocks have been lack of an acceptable design and lack of startup funding. Neither are huge obstacles, just matters to overcome. Tee shirts, lic plate frames, decals have all been discussed from time to time

How about stickers or magnets for the fenders that are similar to a Ferrari crest? I will work on some designs tonight.

Thats a cool idea! If it were small or simple and didn't take away from the look of our cars I'd love to have one!

This is the shield/crest for Torino Italy. I think something like this less the crown with fiatspider.com on it. We could also incorporate the Red Whit Green like the Ferrari badge.

the Ferrari guys get really pissed when their logo gets copied/spoofed. Check the bucking donkey that the X web guys have

you can mod your vehicle in anyway you want. you can tease me every day about crackle paint if that is what makes you happy.

but, i ain't a pretender. I specifically stripped the '78 of all the Abarth doo-dads it was sold with before i put a legal license plate on it....just because i don't believe in making those pretensions.

i support, and will buy several stickers or window clings if they are a unique design. I'll even pitch in for setup costs and such. Sure, red/white and green should be a part of the design. but, i won't support in any fashion a pretend Ferrari or Lamborghini insignia.

anyone ever see the mirafiori.com decal? how about the FLU logo? Great designs, and unique. i am proud to wear both on my car.

please be unique, and not a copy cat.

That X-19 badge is an obvious spoof on the Ferrari badge and I don’t blame them for getting mad.

I wasn't trying to pretend we own Ferraris, just trying to honor the Italian heritage with something that is recognizably Italian but with roots to where Fiats come from.

Let's come up with some ideas then put it to a vote. I am open minded.

Something fairly small and simple might me nice. Here's Mira's example, it's .75x4.25" and seems like a nice size. Fits nicely on my vent window. A hat could be cool too, don't want your hair getting messed up!

How about we use one of Eladio's "Banned For Life" designs?
No?
I have the FLU sticker on my car, I wear the Mirafiori hat, and a FIAT decal on a couple shirts. A FiatSpider.com insignia in some form would fit right in with my obsession.

If anyone likes it, I could make it in any size. I can do stickers, window clings, t-shirt and hat transfers at the university graphics center pretty cheap. If interested, let me know and I can get cost numbers.
