turn signals stop working when turn brake lights come on.

I'm guessing this is the same problem that was posted under
Headlight + Turn Signal = No Turn Signal

Now when i'm checking and cleaning the ground connections were should I start? I'm delivering this car to its new owner on Friday. I've got a 12 hr drive to go and I'm craping bricks now because the brake lights, turn signals and hazards are not getting along. The hazards aren't working at all. I'll check the grounds tomorrow after work, but if there is any other ideas or input. Please post.

Man I'm going to miss this car (76 fiat spider).

Thanks,
steve

clean all of the rear bulb sockets, and especially the grounds. Make sure the bulb bases are clean also and that the contacts on the bulbs aren't too worn.

I should have mentioned that i'm blowing a fuse, not always but alot. It's the second one to the right (my book says it's for the gauges) then the gauges stop working and so the the turn signals.

I'll start looking for the ground in the tail area first as soon as I get off work. Thanks for the help.
