I am in with my new Spider

First week of July I purchase a 1981 Fiat Spider 2000 with 86K and so far so good. I love driving the car and have been fixing up some of the small cosmetic problems. I hope this forum helps me keep on top of some of the issues I know I will be facing.

Welcome, I am just gettin my 79 on the road. I know you must be grinnin too.My biggest suprise is how much my wife enjoys riding in it. Are there any clubs in your area?

I have not checked into a local club yet. I am still getting use to the fun of driving it (my wife loves it too) and over the fear that something is going to go wrong. I don't work on cars so the fear of things going wrong is great although I accept that due to the age that it will happen. I have a feeling I will be taking a class.

The car runs great, is in great condition, has new tires and a new top so I have nothing to complain about. I am taking it in on Friday to have some minor things checked out and hopefully remove some of my fears.

I will look into a club this week.

My wife refuses to get into my Spider with the top down because the wind messes her hair. The top stays down and she stays out. I enjoy my solo drives.
