Welcome John. Tell us a little about yourself and the car. Are you getting into Spiders or back into it?
Plus, we would like to see it, let us know if you need help on posting pictures.

Hey Ron:
I've owned it a week and have had very little time to deal with it. Hopefully , I'll have the time this weekend. I have liked Spiders for some time. After I got out of the service in 75 I was giong to buy one but there was a long waiting period. I ended up with a MGB.
Now that I am going through a mid life crisis it was the spider or a Harley. My wife helped me make the decision.
I'll post some pictures next week and I know I will have many questions.
Thanks for the greeting.

I purchased the car last weekend and haven't spent much time with it. It's a white 1978 Spider 1800 with 59,000 miles on it. It runs great and some minor paint chips right at the rear wheel wells.
Once I have a chance I will post some pictures. I'm sure I will run into mechanical and electrical issues and hopefully will have a resource here.
Looking forward to getting more involved and learning from eveyone.

John, first you need to upload your pictures to a photo hosting site. Photobucket is still free (I guess Flickr charges now). Then resize the photo using the "edit photo" option, down to about 1/2 size or it won't show the whole picture when you post it here on the forum. Next copy the image URL (this is an option that shows up below each picture on photobucket as "IMG code". Then just paste it into your message here on the forum. Doing it this way you won't need to use one of the gray command buttons you see above the message composition box.
OK, now show us your car!

I think you've resized it down too much. In the edit page of photobucket, when you click on "Resize" and get to the 2nd page, use the sliding resize bar at the options section at the top of the page and reduce it down to where the numbers are in the range of 640x480. The numbers don't have to be exact, just in this range, which is about 1/2 the original size. It appears you've reduced your photos to the size you'd need to use for an avatar picture.
I'm not an expert on this so if anyone else (pope and Eladio are pretty much geniuses) sees something I'm missing, jump on in.
Good looking car BTW.
