Well down here in South Florida our taxes and insurance of nearly every kind are outrageous, our local governments are as corrupt as they come, traffic is terrible, everybody drives like they do were they come from hence the terrible traffic, our residents can’t seem to figure out how to vote, housing values have dropped nearly 50% in two years and are still too high, and we get hurricanes on occasion. So Jeff why do you live there? It is February and 78º and I am going to drive down the beach today with the top down as it should be.
What does winterize mean anyways?
Why life is still good
Re: Why life is still good
Jeff, did you ever get the hardware for the boot, and how does it look on the spider? Ya right about all the above... especially the drivers!
Florida is a beautiful place this time of year to drive the spider around Palm Beach, Jupiter, and a host of other nice places in and around Palm Beach County.
I miss Jupiter already... not at Sikorsky right now.

OH SURELY NOTGunsmith wrote: our local governments are as corrupt as they come, ?
Corruption is so widespread here in sunny Spain that the Junta is having to try to clamp down. Most of the Mayors along the Costas are now behind bars, mainly for making a fortune from developers eager to get planning permissions through, and most of that where building isn't allowed and blatently against government guidelines.
The concequence of that is that many home owners that bought in all inocence from corupt developers, are now having to stand by as their homes are being demolished because, as far as the junta is concerned, they were built illegally! And there's no compensation!!!
Down in Almeria, there is a fabulous new hotel built right on the beach. The local residents were furious, as they fought to oppose the building of it and had pointed out that it was illegal to build right on the beach. But, surprise surprise, planning permission was granted. I believe most of the local council are now doing time inside along with the developer, and the hotel which cost many millions, is now being demolished
Oh yeah, coruption is alive and well here in sunny Spain

At least there's consequences to the evil. Here in America, we bail out the crooks and let them have bonuses.

No Nick I never did get around to picking up the hardware yet. I also still have not picked up an AC system for yet either. Hopefully I will get around to that in the next few months before it is too hot out to drive it during the day.
Spiddy that stinks that all of those people lost their money on those crooks. We do tend to reward our crooks in America, the more you steal the more they let you get away with. Three out of the five county commissioners here in Palm Beach County are either in jail or on their way with the other two and the Mayor hopefully not far behind.
If everyone would just drive a SPider with the top down they would get the meaning of life and would not need to steal so much money to buy more expensive cars.
See Fiat's can bring whirled peas.

Gunsmith,
You just gotta find the right place out of SoFla.No beach or saltwater fishing ,but I have mountains, summers w/o the humidity, trout fishing, and no traffic!! We still miss SoFla though, even with all its problems.I cant help you with ''winterize'' question though.Something to do with buying a jacket?
