Well,

That explains the green slime under the cap in the front, seaweed!!! I woke yesterday to 6 inches of snow, cleared that off, plowed the driveway with my front end loader, by the time i was finished it was dark, planned to put her in this morning, oh no 5 more inches of snow!!! arrrggggg I am located in Rhode Island.

Speaking of rebadging. This is a grill ornament that I picked up to use on my new stainless steel grill that I have designed.
Should be nice. NOS from I know not what year. Is this off a 1100? anyone know!

Hey pope there might be something to the container/water story.
I'm doing up another 2 L. The block is from a Fi 80 spider and when I took the water pump off it looked like it had barnacles in it.
It's good to go now though

Pope,
I reckon that badge is from the late 60s. I had that style and shape on a 1970 Fiat 500L that I previously owned. It was used on the front of many Fiat cars prior to the introduction of the Fiat corporate blue rhomboid logo and was an evolution of an earlier, similar, but rectangular treatment. 'Sporting' Fiats used the round red badge with the surrounding laurel leaves. I know that you can still get NOS and replicas in Europe.

Hey Pope,
You dont want to give us a sneak preview of the grille? Then grille badge is way cool. I am looking forward to seeing your car in finished form,it is going to be awesome! Will it be roadworthy for FFO 09?

Thanks Mike,
That is kinda what I suspected. That badge is 4" high. The red background has a pattern that the replicas do not have. The reps are just a red paint.

the inane conversations on the forum are in full swing. clear indications that it is dead winter.

Welcome to the forem from an 80's man. Yes it is winter. The temp is a cold 69 degrees here. I will have to wear a jacket to take her out with the top down. Good luck on your find. Emo.

Craig,
The grill is just in cad right now. Will get water-jetted later this summer. Doubt that I will make it for this year. I am trying to get it rolling by Sept. We'll see.
And to get a jump on things, I am getting my Spider to look more like a Chrysler!

Hey gang, I think I detected a sense of humor here. Way to go Jack. You did find the right forum if this is an indication of having one.
