Hi there from the semi frozen north.(but gets to 100 deg F in summer)(Okanagan B.C.). just wanted to say looking forward to picking the brains of other members to some questions that come up with my spider and perhaps answer some qestions as well. Put the 80 fi on the road in may 08 and off nov 1. second fiat, first was a 70 I bought at 19 32 years ago. Rusted out from yearly driving in Van. B.C. So, I decided to focus a "mid life crisis" (excuse) into an Italian red head with 4 wheels, this way I still have a house.
Rescued a project from Oregon and stripped it to a shell and have put it together over a year or so. Had help with the paint(bartered the paint job) but needless to say they got the better deal. I will have to re-paint this as they painted in two stages with two diiferent cans of paint (two- tone now) Painted Porche guards red a bit deeper/richer than original fiat. currently doing another head(1800 & shaved a bit) with oversize valves. Blast to drive around the roads here.
Talk to you later, have a good new years
A wonderfull well thought out forum

Re: new member narfire
Welcome to the forum Narfire. Get some pictures posted of your car, post haste, or you'll get ragged to death. I had a similar experience with a barter for a paint job, it was on a motorcycle though. I did a built in cabinet/bar for a guy's van (turned out beautiful if I do say so myself) and got a crappy, half finished paint job in return.
Good to have you aboard.

Re: new member narfire pics I hope
OK, Took awhile but seemed to figure out this photo stuff(maybe). Could'nt find a 13 or 17mm nut so I had to actually read the instructions. I have read the instructions but something is not right. I clicked the cursor between the img and typed in a code from photobucket and it drops in a whole file including non fiat photos, not the three I had selected.
Any ideas?

Re: new member narfire
OK, let's see if we can clear it up. Unless you put a group of pictures in an album on Photobucket and copy that IMG code first, you'll have to transfer one picture at a time. To transfer one picture at a time, first you'll need to resize it down to about 1/2 size (edit feature on Photobucket) or else it will run off the page here. Then if you use the "direct link" option below the pictue and copy the link, you can paste it in your post here at the forum just by using "paste" command (ctrl+v). No need to use the command buttons above the composition area for your message.
i hope this helps.

I right clicked on the picture, went to properties and copied the url address. Then clicked on "Img" and pasted the url between the brackets.
Nice car, btw!

Re: new member narfire
Hi Mike,I made a post regarding "custom stuff" and the front light mounts. same thing though, I can't seem to get the photos up,just the link. btw managed, perhaps he could have a go again. There is a photo of the car from the front, although it's up on the hoist.
Is this the place to be showing naked front ends?
Chris
