Hi,
I'll probably buy a Spider soon, or leave the US .
I'm still collecting information about what's most interesting here in CA because of smog restrictions.
I usually do all the mechanical work myself.
I owned two Alfa 75TS, still own a Maserati 430 18v (boosted up to 300hp) and a Mini 1000 converted to MPi low boost turbo, I left them in France.

Hi Alexis. Welcome to the forum. Your in a great area for Fiat owners, the group up there is an active and fun one. Check out Fiat America at http://www.fiatamerica.com
The California smog laws are no problem for our cars, as long as they are not modified out of smog limits. The later (1980 and later) fuel injected models are almost smog crap free with the exeption of a catalytic converter, and they have plenty of HP in stock form.
Good luck, let us know if you need help looking for just the right one.

Thanks Ron,
I'll check the club events, I'd like to meet people.
I hope to know very soon if I'll need another car. I've already had a look at craigslist, there are often FI and carb spiders on sell. I'm still have to decide which one I'll be looking for.
What are other good web places to search for cars ? I'm new in the US and only bought one car as far, a Camry Boring. Everlasting LOL.
Sure 100hp on 2L looks ridiculous. Especially when compared to Alfa/Lancia europeen engines of the same period. That's the beauty of the US versions LOL.

Craigslist is a good place to look. I looked for 8 months before I got my '82. I found it on Ebay, which can be a problem unless, like I did, you find one close enough to take a look at before you bid on it. You're in an area where that shouldn't be a problem.
