Snowjob!

Post by pope »

Well, we just got another big snowfall this year. Just in time for Christmas. Around here, the snowblower barely gets cool before you are starting it again. All you northern guys chime in on whats happening out you way. Im at 6" of new snow and still snowing with a possible of 10" total. I did have 3" on the ground to start with and hear that we could get more this weekend. Has anyone ever retrofitted a Spider with skis? Probably makes a good toboggan. I dropped a quarter yesterday, probably wont find it till spring, LOL!

Hear in Central Pa, we are getting a cold rain. It started out as sleet/ice this morning. We got 3" on Wednesday but it is pretty much gone. We are supposed to get some snow on Sunday but the weathermen are keeping pretty mum on a prediction. For the last couple of years, it seems like we have been getting more ice than snow. I would rather deal with 12" of snow than that crap.

I think that Mike is working on the Fiat tobaggon idea. At least I suggested it yesterday in another post.

We got a lot of ice and freezing rain here in N.E. Ohio, but no snow. It's nearly 40 degrees right now, T-shirt weather!

out here in sunny Calif we got an arctic storm, so it's been in the mid-30s at night and Ron Luxmore got about half a foot of snow in the desert. The Turkey Trot route we took a couple of weeks ago is now 2' deep in snow.

It's sunny and 70 degrees here in NC. Ron's in the mountains today, skiing with friends, but I don't think it's on snow...more like mud skiing. Oh well, guess I'll go work in the yard.

It rained a bit in Long Beach... but I still didn't close my bedroom window.

Granted, I do like a cold room to sleep in, but maybe that is why I don't live in Phoenix!

Here in southeast Arizona near the Mexican border it was 76 today. Sometimes I wish it would snow around here. But then I wake up.

I got home today from working the week over in Ventura where it was cold in the mornings, but nice and warm by 10:00. I was expecting to find the valley covered with snow, but it's all melted already except for a few patches. My son got buried up to the hubs in the mud and had to leave the car there till I got home to show him how to rock a car out. I did grow up around Seattle after all, so I do know how to get a car out of the mud.

Warm(ish) sunny days and chilly nights right now here in Andalucia. The last snow we had fell 1st March 2004. It measured 6" on top of the sun loungers! 2 days later it was all gone.
However, we are quite close to Granada and the Sierra Nevadas where the skiing is pretty good. So a white Christmas is only a little over a hour away :D Merry Christmas to all my readers.

It's been raining non-stop for what seems like the last 2 months here in New Jersey. Which is fine, since crazy body shop guy has my car until just after the holidays. He had told me it would be ready before Christmas but going to take a little extra time, he had to finish a buddy of mine's race car first. That's fine cause I spent all his money on Christmas presents.

Anyway, I could go for some real snow. My yard is squishy when I walk on it.

Southeast corner of Wisconsin we have about 14 inches of snow and blowing like crazy! windchill at least 10 below zero. Hopefully the temp will raise up to comfortable 68 degees later today in the garage so I can spend some working on the Spider :D

8" on the ground more on the way. We are just getting started here, last year we had over 100" and some of the ski resorts had over 700". Long winter ahead.

We got a reported 12-14 " here in the southern California high desert. We have some broken tree limbs to clean up and I missed 3 days of work because of it but all is well now. I was able to retire Dec.30 on schedule. More time to play in the shop now. :D ...J.D.
