New member from Prattville, Alabama

Just popping in on the scene for a quick intro. I recently moved to Alabama from Brandon, Mississippi and have a 1984 Pininfarina Azura 2000 Spider (but I just call it a Fiat because no one knows what I'm talking about the other way). My Spider has only 13,200 original miles. I bought it from the original owner 2 1/2 years ago with 11,400 miles so I don't drive it much. When I purchased the car, the first owner had put a brand new top on it, replaced just about all the rubber parts in the car, and put new tires on it. I have replaced the master cylinder, fixed a short in the windshield wiper wiring, and installed a new Sony CD player and speakers. The car needs a new black paint job (on top mostly) and some serious clean up and detailing inside that I've never had the time to do; but from the side, the car looks good as new and was driving great until I had a problem with it not wanting to start. I found this forum as a way to learn about this car from others so I can fix problems myself as they arise. I will post photos one day to share what my low-mileage original looks like.

Welcome to the group. If you run into something you're not familiar with as you're solving the issues on your car, jump onto the forum and you'll get plenty of help. The site is so popular that you'll usually get an answer very quickly. Do you have repair manuals and FI diagnostic manuals yet? We'll steer you to some good ones if you need them.

You sure your spider isn't an '82? Seems like all the cars that won't start around here are 82's!

Ron is a resident expert on getting the fuel injected spiders started. If yours is still stalled, provide a few details, and we'll help troubleshoot.

Welome to the site, from another Southern Spider. There are some extremely knowledgable people here ,and no problem is too small and no question too dumb.I know,I have asked plenty.Post some more info on your no start and it will get resolved. The Bosch F.I. unit is a solid, dependable unit.

Easy on the '82s Alvon! It just means we have more experience to help him resolve any fuel injection issues he may be experiencing. Lord knows we have plenty of experience on that front!
