New Member Hello
I'm a new member here. I used to own a '69 124 spyder and loved it. Family and work came and the spyder went. I am now back in a position to possibly aquire another spyder. Will be scanning the classifieds. What group/s are active in the Southern California area?

Re: New Member Hello
welcome to the site and good luck with getting back into Spider ownership. Since you're in So Cal, make a point to come out to the Best of France and Italy this coming Sunday, Nov 2nd. It's at Woodley Park in Van Nuys. You'll get a chance to meet lots of the So Cal owners. We're in the process of getting a FLU chapter established here

Hello, and welcome,
There are several members of the forum who are in So Cal, and members of the now forming FLU chapter. I am up in Lancaster, so most of the time I come south for the get-togethers. Google "Best of France and Italy" to get the information for the car show that quite a few of us Fiat folks are attending. If you can show up to meet us and vice-versa, just look for the people with the widest grins!
Hope to see you there.
Ron

Thanks for the welcome!
I was able to attend the Best of France & Italy and really enjoyed the show. I met a guy trying to get rid of a 69 coupe CHEAP! I had to go out of town and it was sold by Saturday when I could contact him again. Did anyone here get it?

Re: New Member Hello
Did you get a chance to get introduced to any of us that were there in our Spiders? We were in the right/rear, in front of the Jolly, Multipla, and 500 that were there? I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say Hi to you in person.

Re: New Member Hello
Just wanted to update the forum. I have purchased a '71 spider with the correct 1608 engine! Unfortunately the interior is mainly from a '79. What is the latest on a Southern California FLU chapter? By the way, yes this is my daily driver.

Re: New Member Hello
Brave indeed!
I look forward to meeting you and your '71!
I hope you can make it to our Superbowl strut!
Check the events board, details will certainly be posted soon... I hope
but here is the general idea. In the morning on Superbowl Sunday, we will probably meet up in La Verne, roar up the hill to Baldy Village, careen across the ridge road and come down in Azusa in time to catch the game.... hopefully at a bar this time, so we can watch it
Unless we can talk Steve into letting us smash beer cans on our heads at his house..

Welcome to the forum and congrats on finding an early Spider with original engine! You must post some pix.
