Test pipe in place of cat converter

My Ansa muffler on my 81 Spider getting pretty rusty, I bought Ansa FA7245 from Auto zone , 4 bolt flange , looks like perfect fit , no welding needed, clamps at rear end into tailpipes
Question - my cat seems slightly rusty too, small hole at one seam , maybe original to car ?
- I see test pipe to replace CC with 4 bolts at each end, from Auto Ricambi , I’d love to put that in at same time.
My first time doing exhaust work, ready to have at it , This forum has been huge help time after time
There is no smog issue here in Florida, esp not for an 1981
Anything I need to be aware of or need to do ?

It should be fine. Disconnecting the rear muffler from the center pipe can sometimes be difficult. The center piece is usually referred to as the resonator. I ran mine with a test pipe for several years, until I had to get an emission inspection.

Will it likely become much louder? , the Ansa it came with is nice , loud and very enjoyable sound, will be interesting to find out

Any advice on removing the rear of pipe ? It looks like it may be toughest part , also in what order would you remove , assuming I get test pipe
It’s resting on park brake cable now , burned the insulation on cable. , I don’t want to put strain on it
