Hey everybody, so me and my girlfriend decided we wanted to find a project car so I could show her the basics of how a car works. After a little searching and finding nothing, we stumbled across a 1977 spider. Long story short, we picked it up for $300 and are preparing to fix her up. Were looking forward to getting advice and sharing ideas with you all.

Welcome to the forum. What a great way to have time together. Let us know what kind of shape it's in: does it run, what's the rust situation?
Good luck with it, and keep us posted on your progress. Don't forget to get and share the "before" pictures.

Looks great to do something like that togheter , i can imagine the birthay and christmass gifts
and if you start calling it" our baby", you can also rectify any costs that need to be done

The body is in pretty good shape, just a little surface rust and in need of some new paint. The floor pans are pretty rough, but thats just an excuse to buy a welder . Its red with tan/beige(sp?) interior, but were installing black interior and a new top (its been sitting for 7 or 8 years and the tops shot). It wont start, but it just needs dist. point sets and a little tlc and it should be running just fine. Im planning on taking some pictures tonight (she wants to make a scrapbook) but ill try to post them here when i can.
Itll be a slow process, but we will enjoy it. I have a couple of my own projects i need to tend to at the same time (an '88 rx-7 and a '75 honda cb350 bike)

Welcome Aboard,
I'm new here myself, and have found theres a lot of knowledgeable folks willing to lend an ear and give some good advice at this site. I also recommend joining photobucket.com, it will make adding pictures to your post very easy. Oh, its free too, if you've never heard of it. Good Luck with the '77. Blast
