Greetings everyone!
I've owned my 81 spider 2000 for 2 years now. Used to be turbocharged from Legend Industries! The first owner drove it for 96,000 miles and as of now it sits with about 120,000 on the clock. It's lived a wonderful life. Love driving it and it gets all the looks!
Unfortunately as of now it sits with what I believe is a blown head gasket. Cylinders 1 and 2 have 0 compression. However, 3 and 4 are in perfect condition, 180 PSI. I'm looking forward to removing the motor and replacing all seals along with the headgasket and a good cleaning.
I'm currently stock fuel Injected but I'm becoming interested in going the carb route. The car allegedly has cams in it but I'm sure they are mild cams. I'm interested in any suggestions or the perfect route to take to squeeze some decent power out of the 2.0 that won't completely break the bank. This forum rocks!

Re: 2 Year Owner in Michigan
Hi there,
and welcome! So your Turbo is already de-turboed?! If not, it would be the best way to keep the rare Turbo equipment under the hood
(my 5 ct).
So you got one of the approx 700 Legend Turbo cars, does it still have the decals? Any pics are welcome!
The worldwide Spider Register actually counts 299 cars, most of them still alive, see here:

Michigan got 5 cars of them:

Is your car already listed? If not, it would be great to get your car data. Thanks in advance.
Good luck with your engine decision and your Spider project!
Cheers Ralf
