Hello
I have a 1980 Spider (US specs) that I bought in 2021 . It was with injection, but in 2022 (due to a bad diagnosys from my side for the engine control unit) I switched to dual IDF. In winter I switched to DFEV, but I made only few km with it because the exhaust was broken.
Now I wait for a new exhaust to be made and then to tune the carb. I did the float level and basic tuning (the ones from redline instructions), but it seems that the engine stalls around 3000-3500 rpm, so the maybe the mixture has to be adjust or is the cold air intake that I'm using (to be checked).

Hi there,
and welcome to the Forum! Do you need something special as an exhaust? The parts suppliers will have the normal stuff. Ansa Sport exhausts are available too etc.

Do you just tune up your car or is this part of a restoration project?! Have you any pics to show?

Hello, I see the car is in the register, but with old plates from previous owner (I bought it in 2021).
The exhaust is already done since last saturday (done by a local shop for for aprox. 250 euro). The car was reconditioned in 2021/2022 (painting, interior, engine seals, suspensions, all electric harness etc.). Meanwhile I had some issues with distributor (initialy I tought that is the ECU) and so I switched to dual IDF. I runned with IDF till end of last year and during winter I switched to a singel DFEV. I still have the dual IDF and injection system as a back-up.
