Howdy from San Antonio , TX!
Currently going through it with my ‘74 Spider! About a week out from her first fire up, just have to get carbs situated. A buddy gave me a pair of Dual 40 DCOE’s for free ,however, I’m afraid won’t work with my set up. I’m aware of the custom manifold out there, my main concern is making them fit. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Welcome Meat!
I also have a 1974 in Arkansas I am trying to get running right and just recently joined this forum.
Good luck with the dual carbs- I don't know much about them, although from what I have read, they are hard to get set up right and if you have stock motor they won't do much for you - but you'll want to get input from folks more experienced than myself on all that.

Yes, welcome, Meat! Funny, I was just in San Antonio a few days ago. Riverwalk, the Alamo, stayed at the St. Anthony hotel, the usual touristy places.
Just a thought: I'd get the car running well with a single carb, and then think about installing the dual carbs. If too many things change at once, it's hard to get it sorted out.

MeatMan,
welcome to this Fine Fiat Forum
Lets see some pictures of your Spider !!
I recently got my 81 Bosch Fuel Injected 2000 running and have tons of work left to get it fixed up.
I call mine "Traviata" which in Italian means "The One Who Goes ASTRAY'
And I call it the "Green BlackHole" because it has such Strong Gravity that it sucks all the money out of my pockets every time I get any where near it.

Hi
and welcome from me too! Pics are always interesting!
San Antonio must be a hot spot for Fiat Spiders. The worldwide Spider Register counts 27 cars from your town including some CS1 Spider from 73-75. Can we get your VIN to include your car?
Good luck with your carb problems.
Cheers Ralf

Welcome from Fort Worth. You just missed a Texas meet up in Kerrville. Wow you have some amazing roads down there. I’m sure you’ll get yours sorted and driving. There’s a lot of good help here and also with local Fiat groups. Hope to see you at one of the future meet ups.
