I bought a partially built "Locost 7" project which is based on a Lotus 7. It was built from a 1980 Fiat 124 using the 2.0L engine and suspension parts. I'm told the transmission is a 5 speed from a Fiat 131 and is supposedly stronger. Joined the forum to learn a bit more about the Fiats and maybe buy some parts. I know a lot about Japanese cars and used to race Miatas but this is my first Italian engine car.

would love to see some pics of the Lo-Cost 7 with the Fiat Twin Cam. The FIAT twin cam was a popular choice for home build kit car racers back in the day.

I don't have the greatest pics, it's been sitting in my uncle's barn for the better part of 10 years. I need to finish building the suspension then I can take it home to my garage.
