79 Spider 2000.
Is the crankshaft pulley bolt righty tighty lefty loosey? Or is it reverse thread?
I'm surprised that I have searched multiple terms and can't find a definitive answer.
Thanks everyone for all the help over the years!

Re: 79 crankshaft pulley bolt direction
barnesjtsl,
If it has it's original engine -- or -- an engine from 1979 in it, then it is righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.
It is likely going to be on there very tight, so be ready to exert some effort removing it.

Re: 79 crankshaft pulley bolt direction
Thank you. Yes, it is the original engine.
Got an air impact wrench and chain wrench so I don't think it will be a problem.
Thanks again,
barnesjtsl

Re: 79 crankshaft pulley bolt direction
If your crankshaft pulley is secured by a nut, then it's right-hand (normal) threaded. If your pulley is secured by a bolt, as was the case with the last years of Pininfarina spider production, then that beast is a left-hand (reverse thread) setup.
