Hello All,

My name is Bill, I have a 1977 Spider 1800 that I inherited from my father. It's not in great shape and needs engine and body work. Does anybody know a shop that's reasonably close to the Florida panhandle? I've check with many of the import shops in town and they don't work on carbureted engines.

An aircraft mechanic friend and I took a look and was able to replace the vacuum tubes, fuel lines and removed the electric fuel pump that was bypassing the engine fuel pump. The engine will idle but quits with throttle input.

Appreciate any help!

Hi Bill,

and welcome to this forum! Any pics to share?

There are various Spider in Florida, perhaps you look for some real help from other Spider owners? The worldwide Spider Register counts 447 cars from Florida and 8 cars from Escambia County, see here:

Would be great to get your car data for the worldwide Spider Register! Thanks in advance.

Cheers Ralf
