single high beam

Post by blanchardkeith »

My driver's side high beam went out. Lows work, the other single high works, but my driver's side does not. Replaced the bulb but no luck. Can't seem to find a short..............yet. Any suggestions?
thanks

Check Fuse #3 and #5 in the fuse box. Those control the high and low beam of the drivers side. Make sure there is no corrusion on the fuse holder ends. If you have to brush off some corrusion, disconnect the battery so you dont spark like a roman candle.
Also check the ground wire from the bulb that attaches to the fender well inside the engine compartment.

Probably going to be the fuse connection possibley the ground. I used a round file in the fuse connector and just rotated it in the slot. Also you will want to pinch the fuse holder together so it holds the fuse tighter. That has been 90% of my electrical problems. Good luck. :)
