Hi everyone, I have a 1970 124 spyder 1.6 , it has been standing and not started for 10 months under cover in my garden until new garage was built, the clutch is now not working, it worked perfectly before, the pedal seems the same but it won’t go in gear ???? Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Re: Cluch problem
A frozen clutch can be the result of a car sitting for a while as the disc is confined between the pressure plate and fly wheel. If you are in neutral, try running the car parked until the engine gets up to heat and pushing the clutch pedal and hitting the gas a few times. If not in neutral pump the brakes a few times with the car off and hold the brake pedal down on the third pump, Try starting the car (with your foot solidly on the brake) to see if the torque from the starter can free up the frozen disc.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!
