Just bought a 1980 124, and will be undertaking a long and complete refresh with pumped engine and all the toys.

I had a '74 way back, and I loved it - this is my chance to do it again. Be looking for support and guidance as I move along. Some really smart and knowledgeable people here. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm glad to see another 124 owner in the Chicagoland area, they aren't very common in our area.

Well, it is Fall, and the car is now in the shop for the Winter - major to do list. Would love to go for a ride this Spring, when I hope it will be done with this phase of the project. I am hoping that there is a slightly active group in the area, and it would be a pleasure to get together this pring. I am Western burbs also, (near West).
