Hi,
New 1979 Spider 2000 owner and really excited about it. I registered on the WWSpider already as #18,967 thanks to Ralf aka rdv.
Picked up my Spider in an online auction and she came with no historical information on her. I'll try to do research once i get her. Odometer says 65k. Outside looks halfway descent, inside is pretty rough. Have lots of plans already for her so hopefully i will be able to get her in good shape. I know I need to source new seat covers and a new dash and center console. the wood is in good shape though so at least there is that.....
my wallet feels lighter already

Welcome to the board and group. If you’re in the DFW area there’s a cool event next weekend 5/14. One Of the main parts suppliers, Vicks, is hosting a 40 year anniversary open house. Dallas Fiat Club chapter is meeting up in Mansfield and driving down to Vicks.

Thanks for the welcome!
Where can I find the Houston's group info?
My car won't be in Texas until the beginning of June and I'm out of state until the upcoming holiday as well but I look forward to being able to hit those events in the future.
Closest to Houston but Austin is never too far awaytxspider wrote:Where are you in Texas? We have groups in Austin, DFW and Houston.

That sounds like a good event to go to even if i'm not in DFW!!TheBender wrote:Welcome to the board and group. If you’re in the DFW area there’s a cool event next weekend 5/14. I think the club there is the Gulf Coast Fiat Club. It’s all through Fiat Club of America. The group there has some really great members. The national event is actually in Houston this year late September. Fiat Freak Out. Have a look, probably won’t be in your backyard again for a while.
