79 Fiat Spider 124

Post by Italfiat79 »

I recently bought a 79 Fiat last fall and I’m debating what to to for the crossmember issue. There is a hair line crack which needs to be fixed to pass inspection. So I’m wondering if I should get it professionally welded with a bracket or should I attempt replacing it.
If I decide to replace it, does anyone here have the experience removing the crossmember without pulling the engine out? Thank you, Mike

Contact wetminkey on this site, as he's dealt with this before. See: http://www.fiatspider.com/f15/viewtopic ... er#p299772

Also suggest posting this question in the technical area as it will get more views.
