Hello,
I need to know if anyone has a picture of how the wiring of the courtesy lighting the pininifarina model is connected. I looked at the wiring diagram and it show what wires but not where they are connecte. There is a purple/gray wire, a red/green wire and black wire. I know I should have take a picture before I took it out but it slipped my mind as I was working on other electrical issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have a photo however if you post a photo of of the courtesy light you have showing its terminals I might be able to help you.I need to know if anyone has a picture of how the wiring of the courtesy lighting the pininifarina model is connected
The wire diagram I have for an 84 shows a diagram of a courtesy light having an internal "on" all the time switch. I was thinking the Pinnin series only had door switches. Does you courtesy light have an internal switch?

Hi spider2081,
I believe that I can turn it off and on by pushing the light in out since the switch is part of the light. Here is a link to what the connector locations look like in the back of the lamp:

OXFORD2004,
Thanks for the diagram. It looks like the red/green goes on the silver tab on the back. I may give that try.
Thank you both for replying so quickly!

You should have 2 wire that are negative. One that is always on and another one that is control by the door switch. 1 positive on the other side of the bulb.

Grey connector is for the positive wire. Get a test light and know how to use it.

I think you are correct, connect the green/red wire to the silver/grayish colored terminal. I don't think it will make much difference which remaining terminal the other wires connect to. The return side of the light bulb is either connected to ground through the courtesy light switch or the door jam switch depending on the courtesy lights internal switch. It looks like the red/green goes on the silver tab on the back. I may give that try.

Thank you both! I works perfectly now. Turns on when the door opens now and it is off when to the door closes. This was not happening before. Much appreciation!

In case someone else is looking for this. Mine is a 1985. The light has a delay (few seconds) when the door is closed before shutting off.
