I pulled the motor out this past weekend, and washed the car. I am thinking about the amount of body work to do to it now. I was trying to spend as little money as possible getting one driving. That won't be a big problem. However, I don't know whether to live with the little body problems until I can better afford to fix them, or go ahead while the car is apart and winter is on its way and do all of that now. I am fixing the three rust holes in the floor boards, these are all very small. There are also a few small spots of surface rust on the exterior body, and two spots of bare metal where the paint has come off. I have not decided what to do to these yet. I obviously do not want them to get worse. So...

Decisions, decisions.

Welcome to the site! If it were me and I had it in the shop with the engine out and a handly lift nearby and winter closing in quickly I would go to work on the boddy right away. Nothing motivates you to finish a project like a nice shinny newly painted chassis. If you are doing the body work yourself that is abou the cheapest part of the project you can do. Keep posting picks of the project so we can follow along.

Thanks guys. I will definetely keep the pictures coming. I think I am going to go ahead and take care of all the body work. That way I won't have to mess with it later. Yeah, I am very lucky to have a father who owns a shop. All the right tools sure make working on the car a lot nicer. Unfortunately, he doesn't do bodywork!

Wow, you really have it bad, don't ya? Nice looking shop. Since you've already got the engine out, I'd at least refinish the engine bay area and touch up the bare spots if you didn't decide to go ahead with the bodywork. Mine has been a rolling restoration for 15 years!
