Greetings from Eastern North Carolina. I may be new to this site, but I am not new to Fiats. My first car --19 years ago--was a fiat 124 Sedan T/C Special. I have recently aquired three Spiders and am beginning the task of making one good one out of the three. Wish me luck!

OK, good luck!
Welcome to the forum.
Which Spiders do you have, and which one are you going to make the main driver?
Post pictures when you get a chance.

Thanks. I've got two 1981 spiders and one 1978. I have decided to go with the '78 for my car. I am using the interior from the '81 with the padded console and and leather trim dash. I am using the motor that was built for my sedan. It is a 2000cc block overbored (can't remember to what size), with a 1595 head for high compression (10.5 : 1), and the 1608 cams. It has been ballanced all the way to the flywheel, and runs smooth. It has the big weber two barrel and ansa tuned headers and exhaust. I can't wait to put it in the spider and see how she does.
I will post pics as soon as I figure out how! I do not currently use and host site for photos, so I will have to find one. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the site! I wondered by your user name if you had a Chromo Monster. I have a 2000 Monster with all carbon fiber trim and tank -- it's my own special edition Looks like you have great taste in cars and bikes!

Thanks! Yeah I have great taste in cars and bikes, either that or I am a glutton for punishemnt. I love having a vehicle that always has something that needs to be done to it. I have just about changed everything on the bike that I can, so now I guess I will just enjoy driving it while I work on my spider!!!
I know this is the Fiat page, but I will post one pic of my other Itailian beauty:
This is the newest pic I have of the bike, I have changed a few things even since this was taken.

Very nice bike! I know it is a Fiat site as well, but I have posted pix of my other toys before, and I haven't been blackballed yet. Besides, it's Italian! Mine is much more stock than yours, other than all the carbon fiber bits...

Is this the same kind of bike Robert McNabb used to hunt down a deer last week? It looks fast but not heavy enough for hunting.

That's why I love Monsters, no two are alike. Kind of like old Fiat Spiders, everybody puts a little of their own personality into them!
