Does anyone know where I could get a lower ball joint for my 1978 124 Spider that has a grease fitting? All the ones that I see for sale now have no grease fittings. I bought a grease-able set in 2015, but unfortunately, I need to replace them.
Thanks.

The ones that I bought are NOS from Midwest-Bayless,...and no longer available. Otherwise, I've not seen them for sale from anyone,...
As an alternative, you can fit a set of zirks to new ball joints,...

Re: Greaseable lower Ball Joints?
The best ball joints are MOOG brand and TRW. Look on Rockauto.com for the best prices. Ball joints that have zerk fittings are typically made with looser tolerances than "non-greasable" joints. However most autoparts stores sell a needle fitting that goes in the tip of a grease gun. The needle can be inserted between the joint shaft and the rubber boot, or through the boot itself. The needle fittings are also useful to re-grease ball bearings as the needle can be inserted under the dust shield.

Re: Greaseable lower Ball Joints?
I've had ball joints with no zerk fittings on the car for 21 years and 40K miles. I use a needle adapter on my grease gun and just push it through the boot to add grease. Once removed, I cant even see the hole where the needle penetrated the rubber.
