Congratulations! I bought my '82 Spider last year, and its a blast to drive. I have the automatic transmission as well--so far trouble free and makes dealing with traffic a breeze. If you're new to Fiat Spiders, a great resource I've relied on in learning the car is the book "Maintaining the Italian Roadster" by Brad Artigue. Lots of photos, diagrams and straightforward explanation of how the car works, and what to look for if it doesn't........
