Spider, I think you mean to "deflect full right"... yes? (full scale)

I think a po replaced this resistor with a regular fuse. What to do?

Fan does come on - usually halfway between the '0' and the beginning of the red zone.

Also (and i think this is not uncommon) if i turn on my headlights with the car running, the temp gauge moves to the right a hair and stays there. Turn off the lights - and it moves back.

Nope, haven't solved the problem yet. It is frustrating because before I replaced the two temp senders, I never had thie problem.

Are the wires to the two temperature sensors possibly reversed? Just for grins, try reversing them and see what happens. Or just connect one at a time.
