Hi All
Newbie here. Took my front and rear bumpers off and now trying to wire my front blinkers.
I got two of these from NAPA https://www.amazon.com/Blazer-CW1536A-C ... B004VRMONO
Hoping to connect them to the old blinker wiring but no idea which wire goes to which or if I'll need a flasher unit in order to make this new LED flash? I see the white wire is a ground (I think?) but not sure where it would go. As for the black wire, not sure which it would connect to on the other side, Blue, Yellow or Black?
Some pictures of what I'm trying to do here: https://imgur.com/a/jqn2iLG
Would really appreciate any help! Don't want to short anything out and create a bigger problem...
Thanks

Re: Help Wiring Front Blinkers
I looked at the light assembly you purchased and unless I'm missing something is is a single function light. the stock Fiat lights were a dual function Turn signal and parking light. They used a dual filament bulb one filament is used for the turn signal and the other filament is used for the parking light.
Here is a link to a light assembly that is both parking light and turn signal light. https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Lights ... T33AB.html
Amber dual purpose light assemblies are available in various sizes both incandescent and LED

Ah thanks for that! I am totally new to this so learning as I go.
I don’t necessarily need the parking lights (have never used them) so my main concern was the turn signal. Would the assembly I have work for just the blinker?
Thanks again for the help!

Re: Help Wiring Front Blinkers
Most cars including the Fiat Spider the parking/running lights are on whenever the headlights are on. I don't know if that is a requirement in the USA.
I think the lights you have purchased can be used as a turn signal light. The issue is the signal flasher in the Spider is designed to work with incandescent lights and not LED lights. You will either need to replace the flasher unit with one that is designed for LED and incandescent bulbs or add resistors across the LED light wires.
I believe the blue wires are the signal light wires and the yellow wires are the parking light wires the black wire is the ground.
Purchasing light assemblies similar to the one in the link I mentioned keeps the cars turn signal and parking light circuits closer to the original Fiat configuration. This simplifies future troubleshooting.

Re: Help Wiring Front Blinkers
Here is the wiring diagram. If you just want the signals then hook up the black and light blue. But if you want to have both (and be legal), buy a new light that has 3 wires and is compatible. You’ll need a new flasher relay, or you will probably have a hyper blink flash (blinker flashes extremely rapidly). The heavy duty one at Autoricambi works. You can find them elsewhere too, I think I picked up mine from amazon.

Re: Help Wiring Front Blinkers
Thanks everyone. This is tremendously helpful. This is just a temporary solution so I can avoid getting a ticket but of course, even a simple job like this is more challenging than I thought!
I connected the black ground to the lighting assembly ground and the blue to the black wire on the assembly. I left the yellow running light wire wrapped and disconnected. I have the side running lights that I will use for now until I figure out which direction I take re bumpers/bumperettes.
When the car is running, both sides seem to work: https://imgur.com/a/k3fsYKd
When the car is off, the driver's side works but passenger does not. If I switch to passenger and then back to driver, then the driver's side doesn't work. I have to restart the car in order to get both sides to work again. Is it possible I need to have the yellow wire connected to something in order to work?
The relay also seems really slow. Any suggestions re replacing that for something faster? Are there two different relays for each side?
Thanks again

Spent some time searching this forum and figured it out. If it's of help to anyone running into the same problem, got one of these at NAPA and all set now
