Rear upper perch
Swapping out the rear springs/shocks and when getting the new springs in, they don't line up with the perch. Mine is so crudded up that I can't tell: how does one move the upper perch? Not even sure how to get a grip on it.

Clean it up best you can and then grap a looooong extension and lay it onto the part where the spring is supposed to rub up against. Tap the other end with a hammer.

You should be able to just pull them out with a little twist. If its not coming out that way +1 to steinonkel suggested method.

That did it. What got me over the edge was a small pry bar, fit nicely, and once it started to come down, I just worked the edges. Was harder than I thought it would be but, then again, the metal underneath was covered in rough undercoating. Reset and ready to go, thanks men!
