Hello everyone.
I found a 1983 in Italian Racing Green last year and I've been tinkering with it ever since.
I know little about engines and I'm scared of any car fluids other than coolant.
But I've got the shop manual and some time on my hands.
I have no interest in keeping this stock. I've already removed the bumpers and installed bumper pads.
In the process of figuring out which lights to put in the square holes.
I've ordered from Allison, Spider-Point and AutoRicambi with good success. Expensive to ship to Canada but other than that.
I've completely re-done the interior to the best of my ability. The previous owner was a heavy smoker.
Sound deadening is in. New black carpet. I had some really good success with black fabric dye to match the carpet on the doors.
I made my own bench in the back seat to match the black carpet. Had the front seats re-upholstered.
The paint is still quite incredible for its age. So that's good.
I've completely removed the front air vents (which seem useless on a small convertible with no A/C anyway) and installed a new stereo in its place. The old stereo location is now a wireless charger. Deleted the digital clock and moved the dash dimmer switch.
Installed PIAA lights in the grille.
Detailed the engine bay to make it look as pretty as it drives.
Added the front spoiler.
Got frustrated trying to fix and patch the centre console so I ripped it out. I have a new one from Spider-Point that I need to install.
I've taken it to 2 different mechanics that were amazed at it's condition. It was all the "other" stuff than needed attention.
No oil leaks but I do get a couple drops of gear oil every time I use it.
oh... and the heat doesn't work.
And there's a crack in the dash which I covered with a dashmat but I know it's there and it bugs me.
It's a fun toy that keeps me busy. Still very delighted with my purchase.

thanks! yeah... knock on wood... no oil.
The car is from Ohio originally. I even have the original bill of sale. I thought that was pretty cool.

Very nice car...bet you can't wait for spring. Look into join the Ontario Fiat Club....lots of resources in TO.
Checkout Auto Ricambi for parts when they offer free shipping any where in the US over $124.00. I have the parts shipped to Niagara Falls NY. ( drop off center) then just drive across the border and pick them up and pay customs on re-entering On. Current border restrictions prevent this. Saves money and usually check with other local spider owners beforehand so they can order as well.
