I've been looking for Spider 2000 with automatic transmission for the past few months. I've driven a few cars in this area, and look forward to advice and ideas from the community on this site! I currently have a 1993 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce with automatic, and love driving the car on weekends and club events.
Thanks,
Steve

I don't know where you are located, but I have a 1981 2000 automatic Spider that I would sell.

redcars: I'm in Maryland, but open to cars from a distance based on condition and "fit". I bought my Alfa in San Diego and shipped it east, so I've done the drill for a rust-free car. I'm open to cosmetic upgrades, but definitely not in the market for a project car. Can you message me with details?
Thanks,
Steve

I'm excited to have purchased a 1982 Spider--in outstanding condition and performed great on a 16 mile test drive on both winding roads and at 60 mph. Good acceleration, but a little stiff in the steering--hopefully regular use will cure that!

Spider will be shipped down to me later this week--500+ miles in a car I don't know that's had limited use over the past year seemed a little too much risk to take to drive it home. Plan to get some good drives in before winter hits the mid-Atlantic.

I've already learned a lot by searching this site--look forward to benefiting from the experience and wisdom of experienced 124 owners here!
