1984 Fiat spider head lights work tail lights don't work
I have a 1984 fiat spider. The head lights are working fine. Left and right turn single, brake lights, back up lights are also working fine. The problem is my tail lights are not working plate lights not working and side lights are not working even when head lights are on. I checked the left and right rear light plate that holds all the bulbs and there is no power going to the the tail light bulbs. I checked the fuses and they are good. I was wondering if there are any relays. Need help can't drive at night. Any help would be greatly be appreciated. Dom

I think you might find your dash instruments light don't work either. The rocker switch on the top center of the steering column controls the parking, dash and side lights. When it is in the center position it should be connecting "hot all the time power to fuses 7&8 to power the lights. When tripped to either side it uses Power from the ignition switch "hot in start and run" to power the parking, dash and side lights. This switch has a high failure rate. Do you parking lights work key off and with the rocker switch in the center position??

I just checked the center switch on the steering column and put it in the middle and all lights and tail lights are working. Something so simple but complicated if you don't know... knowledge is king. Thank you so much for your help Patron! My hat is off to you and all the person that help others on this site.

That switch uses hot all the time power in the center position. It will trip to the side when you turn the steering wheel. When to one side it is using power from the ignition switch "run" position. So either that switch has failed or the power to the switch is no present.
