Dim speedo and Tach lights

Post by niro884 »

My Speddometer and Tach lights are dimmer that the rest of the gauges. Ive tried replacing the bulbs with new ones, but no difference. Any suggestions???

Thanks

These two large instruments are lower intensity on my '73, too. I think they're all that way.

At least you have dim. While driving into work this morning, I realized I had none. Guess I will be looking at the fuses and wiring first. Take look tonight.

I use a little piece of sandpaper wrapped around the end of a small flat head screwdriver to clean the female connectors and just sand the male connectors. Smearing a bit of di-electrical grease on the male connector when you reconnect also helps.
