Really out of options for my 84 Tach that seems like it is reading too low. At an idle the tach is sitting at zero. You can rev the snot out of the car and it only reads 3000rpm.
I have done the mirafiori fix with the inline resistor. I was wondering if you all have any more suggestions? Really would like to know where the RPMs are!!

Re: 1984 Tachometer reads slow
So last night I jumped an old tach from and older Spider and it worked flawlessly. The only issue is the tach from a Pininfarina is so much different than a tach from a 124 Spider. I honestly think now that my tach is a dud and I need to find another. Any chance you could DM me a picture of the tach you have?
Was also wondering if I could cannibalize the inner workings of the older tach and make it work for my Pininfarina tach? Has anyone ever done something like that?
