Hi from Sydney, Australia

Post by PaulB »

Just signed up today to this great forum. Running restoration on a 74 Spider CS1. Originally a US market car converted to RHD many moons ago. So sorting the wiring is ‘interesting’ .But feeling chuffed having finally rebuilt the wipers from 1 pathetic speed with no self parking to working on all speeds/ functions and fast too. Forum posts were very helpful so inspired me to register.
And I don’t really use the car in wet weather anyway...

welcome to the Fiat Spider.com I am familiar with the 1974 factory wiring and have a wire diagram for that year. If you have issues I might be of some help. You can email me direct: flyme194@gmail.com.
Enjoy your car

Great, thanks for the generous offer. I have downloaded Bradley Artigues wiring diagram which has been a saviour. In the RH footwell is an electronic control box with a dozen or so wires.......I think this is an original control unit for the interlock system (seatbelts etc) but don’t see it on the diagram. I’ll get my questions together and send you an email.
Cheers, Paul
