Vicks prima front brake kit
Has anyone installed the prima front brakes. How much improved over the original system? What was the installation like? Is every truly included in the kit? At $450 it sounds like a deal. thanks

Re: Vicks prima front brake kit
I installed the kit last winter, after increasing my wheel size to 15” from 13”. The stock brakes were fine with the 13” wheels, but not as good with the larger wheels and tires, The big brakes made a noticeable difference.
If staying with the stock 13” wheels, the ‘big brakes’ aren’t needed. But would recommend them if you are increasing the wheel and tire size,
Yes, everything is included, and there isn’t anything unusual about the install. Instructions are included and fairly good. Maybe just me, but I found the steel brake line connection to the calipers a little odd.

Yes we are still selling the kit.
Yes we've been sold out for a little while. We are waiting for the calipers to arrive. Manufacturers are moving slower than normal for the last 6-9 months.
But the calipers are on the way to us now and we hope to start shipping Prima Brake kits this month.

Good to know. I'm weighting out my options right now, and looking to replace all the brakes asap.MattVAS wrote:Yes we are still selling the kit.

Dave - The parts list shows stainless steel flex hoses are provided. So are you saying the connection of those flex hoses is a bit odd or they sent hard steel lines instead?Frog2Spider wrote:Maybe just me, but I found the steel brake line connection to the calipers a little odd.

The hoses are braided stainless.
They are NOT hard lines.
