Turn Signals Flash Faster on Left than Right

Post by ccblunt »

My 1975 124 Spider has developed an interesting issue: the turn signals flash faster on the left than on the right. All the bulbs are flashing; nothing is burned out. And the left side bulbs seem to be flashing at about the right speed. But the right side has begun flashing muuuuuch mooooor sloooooly. Any idea what could be causing this?

the change in flash speed is due to a change in resistance. This is usually caused by a burnt bulb. It can also be caused by a dirty bulb socket or a bad ground. Even if the bulb is lit, the ground can be bad and it is finding a ground through another bulb filament.
